The Port of Hood River Board of Commissioners held at special meeting Tuesday, March 24 via remote video conference to discuss Port operational changes in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The Commission unanimously approved an extension of the seven-day suspension of all tolls on the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge that began on Friday, March 20 and was set to end on March 27. There will be intermittent, single lane closures on the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate bridge from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3 for extensive repairs to a damaged guardrail. Flaggers will direct traffic around the moving work zone. Delays of 15-20 minutes are expected, depending on traffic volume.
