The Port of Hood River seeks two volunteers to serve on the Airport Advisory Committee (AAC), filling two positions with terms that began in June. The AAC advises the Port Commission on airport issues, planning, and development. The committee is comprised of seven members of the public, two Port Commissioners, and a representative of the Fixed Base Operator. The term is for three years and members are appointed by the Port Commission.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Port of Hood River announce the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (Draft EA) for the proposed Airport Improvement Projects at the Ken Jernstedt Airfield in Hood River, Oregon for public review and comment. The Draft EA examines the potential environmental impacts of the proposed series of airport improvement projects designed to improve airport safety and efficiently accommodate current and anticipated based aircraft interest at the airport and to correct non-conforming facilities on the north apron area.
