Welcome to the project blog for the Hood River/White Salmon Interstate Bridge replacement project. Authored by Kevin Greenwood, Port of Hood River Bridge Replacement Project Director, this blog will be the repository for the most up-to-date information on the progress toward replacement. Columbia River Gorge residents and travelers are invited to give feedback on plans to replace the aging and obsolete Hood River-White Salmon Bridge at an upcoming community meeting.
The Port of Hood River received funding to work with community partners and re-launch the bridge replacement project. The next essential step requires completing the environmental review before construction funding may be sought.

Bridge Replacement EIS Working Group Meets Thursday, November 8
The first meeting of the Hood River/White Salmon Interstate Bridge EIS Working Group will take place on Thursday, November 8 in the Port of Hood River Conference Room located at 1000 E. Port Marina Drive in Hood River from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The working group is comprised of elected and appointed community stakeholders from the cities of Hood River, Bingen, White Salmon and Hood River and Klickitat County governments and other agencies.
