The Port of Hood River has received a request to lift the span of the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate bridge for a marine vessel in the morning of Tuesday, February 5. Marine traffic has the right-of-way on the Columbia, so the Port is obligated to perform the lift, which will close both lanes of vehicle traffic.
The exact timing of the lift is unknown at this time, but should occur sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Motorists are advised that delays of up to 45 minutes may occur, so planning morning commutes to be across the bridge by 8:00 a.m. should avoid the delay.
For more information, contact the Port of Hood River via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be a full closure of the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge early Friday, February 1 for a maintenance lift of the bridge lift span. The closure will begin at 5:00AM and is expected to delay traffic for up to 30 minutes.Read More
