HOOD RIVER, OR – Crowded beaches and conflicting uses of limited space have raised safety concerns for recreational sites on the Hood River waterfront. The Port of Hood River owns and operates most of the recreational facilities and announces the following changes that will go into effect July 25. These rules will apply all days unless noted below as Saturdays and Sundays only. The Port will continue to monitor crowding and other safety conditions and may take further measures to close or restrict access to recreational sites if necessary.

Special notice April 8, 2020: The boat ramp at the Hood River Marina is open for boat launching, but users are urged to comply with Oregon Governor Kate Brown’s Executive Order 20-12 and avoid non-essential travel and gatherings of more than 2 people. Marina public restrooms are closed and garbage service is suspended at this time, so Marina users are asked to take all garbage home with them. The water and pump-out located at the fuel dock are not available at this time.
