Read More2020 Event Site parking passes now valid year-round.
2020 annual passes for the Event Site and Jensen Beach parking lots are available for online purchase at pre-season discounts until May 20, 2020. Discount parking passes are $100 for vehicles up to 22 feet in length, and $140 for over-length vehicles. Beginning May 22, 2020, regular prices go into effect: $125 / $200. Passes are not valid for on-street parking.

The Port of Hood River facilities crews will be working to grade gravel roads and applying weed killing herbicides at three locations on the waterfront this month, prompting closures to all vehicles and pedestrians due to safety concerns from heavy equipment and herbicide exposure. Dog owners especially are urged to keep dogs away from the closed areas during these times:
The Hook Road closed to all access February 10-14
The Spit Access Road closed to all access February 18-21
Marina Park closed to all access February 24-28

HOOD RIVER, OR – The 4th of July holiday will limit access to several Port of Hood River waterfront properties beginning Wednesday, July 3 when the Hood River Eye Openers Lions Club begins setting up its fireworks display just west of the mouth of the Hood River. Parking will be free on the 4th at all Port-owned streets and Lot 1, but parking permits and day use passes are still required for Event Site parking.

Starting on Monday, June 24 kiteboard launching and landing from the Event Site grass will be prohibited for the duration of the summer season. The increased crowding of the busy summer season combined with lower river levels annually prompt the Port to require that kiteboarders launch and land from the Sandbar. The Port of Hood River appreciates the cooperation and attention to safety of all users at the Event Site.
