The Port of Hood River Commission has approved a parking management plan for Port-owned portions of the Hood River waterfront to be implemented this summer. The plan addresses Port goals to manage limited parking efficiently, encourage turnover at specific locations, and provide new resources for the ongoing maintenance of Port-owned waterfront parks and open spaces. Port staff will provide an informational overview of the plan which includes the installation of new paid parking meters on the east and west blocks of Portway Avenue, N. 1st Street, the west Jensen lot, and Nichols Basin. Public input will be invited on the plan and implementation details that are not yet finalized.
