Semi-annual maintenance welding to the steel bridge deck of the Hood River/White Salmon Interstate Bridge will resume next week beginning Monday morning, weather permitting.
There will be intermittent, single lane closures until the work is complete. Port of Hood River and Bulldog Welding crews will be on the bridge during daylight hours. As the work requires dry, sunny weather, the work window may extend several weeks,
with no work occurring on rainy days. A total of approximately seven days will be required to complete the project.
Each single lane closure will be approximately 15 minutes in duration. Bridge users should expect delays of 15-25 minutes depending on traffic volume. Flaggers will be on the bridge to direct traffic and ensure safety for work crews.
