FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER II
GENERAL EMPLOYEE • TEMPORARY• FULL OR PART TIME
WAGE RANGE: $20.74 – $27.80 PER HOUR
This position is entry-level for the Port’s maintenance services. The Facilities Maintenance worker (grade 2) position works under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and performs custodial duties, maintenance and repair of Port-owned properties, buildings, and facilities. This position also performs custodial activities and maintenance/minor revisions of landscaped grounds and parks. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to interact with Port tenants, vendors, and employees to provide custodial and security support in all areas of Port operation. This position at times maybe “On Call” and is responsible for monitoring fire alarms or other emergency building situations and may require response to be made at all hours, day or night. The position also requires work to be performed at heights on building roofs and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
TOLL COLLECTOR – PART TIME
WAGE RANGE: $16.47 – $24.33 PER HOUR
The Toll Collector identifies and classifies vehicles according to the Port’s vehicle classification system and by number of axles for trucks/trailers and collects the appropriate toll payment. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to interact with the general public, Port employees, Port contractors and vendors, public safety personnel, and marine/waterway users to provide Toll Bridge access and collection of toll revenue. The position requires work in a confined space (Toll Booth) that includes open windows and exposure to vehicle exhaust fumes and existing weather conditions. The Toll Collector position works under direct supervision of the Office Manager, with general supervision from the Executive Director and the Finance Director, with direct guidance from the Lead Toll Collector on duty.
OFFICE SPECIALIST – FRONT DESK
WAGE RANGE: $20.94 – $28.06 PER HOUR
The Office Specialist – Front Desk position is responsible for a wide variety of office administration, project support and clerical tasks. The position manages all aspects of Customer Service with regard to bridge users and waterfront recreation activities, including account inquiries, adjustments, payment, and customer correspondence. The position also performs data archiving duties, bank deposit processing, and Breezeby Auto-Replenishment review and verification, as well as other functions regarding processing payments from building tenants, airport, and marina customers. Administration support provided by this position includes assistance with maintenance of the Port files, office supplies, transponder inventory, credit card processing and customer alerts. This position is a frontline position that is the first point of contact with our public that must be flexible in adjusting their workload. May provide on-call customer service duties as needed.
