Port of Hood River Lot #900, Hood River Waterfront
The Port of Hood River (“Port”) is a public agency whose mission is to initiate, promote and maintain quality of life and a healthy economy throughout the Port District and the Columbia River Gorge. The Port promotes job creation and development, operates the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge, Ken Jernstedt Airfield, Hood River Marina, and maintains popular waterfront recreation facilities on the Hood River Waterfront.

The Port seeks to identify a qualified developer or business to lease and develop a commercial property known as Lot #900 in Hood River, Oregon located on the waterfront across I-84 from downtown Hood River. Lot #900 is the last remaining undeveloped, commercially zoned property on the waterfront. The Port will consider approaches that utilize a participating ground lease or other form of public-private partnership approach.
Hood River is well known for its scenic and recreational amenities that draw visitors from around the world. In partnership with citizens, developers and businesses, the Port has made great strides in creating a vital, active waterfront area that combines recreational amenities with commercially oriented light industrial buildings. Lot #900 holds great opportunity for a signature commercial project. Proposed uses for Lot #900 will need to address key public policy objectives and the specific requirements for development on the waterfront.
Interested developers or businesses may obtain a copy of the RFDI, area development plans, and background information below. Proposers will benefit from reviewing this information in preparation for responding to this RFDI.
