September 16, 2020: There will be multiple full-height lifts of the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge lift span next week for required bridge inspections. Work crews will be on the bridge performing biennial mechanical and electrical inspections as well as in-depth counterweight wire rope inspections.
Significant delays are expected and motorists are advised to avoid the bridge during the following hours:
Monday, September 21:
9:00AM – 10:00AM – One full height lift will occur during this hour. Expect at least 30 minute delay.
1:00PM – 2:00PM – One full height lift will occur during this hour. Expect at least 30 minute delay.
Tuesday, September 22:
9:00AM – 10:00AM – One full height lift will occur during this hour. Expect at least 30 minute delay.
1:00PM – 2:00PM – One full height lift will occur during this hour. Expect at least 30 minute delay.
Wednesday, September 23, 2020:
Early morning until 8:00AM – Three full height lifts will occur in the early morning hours before 8:00AM. Significant delays expected.
11:00AM- 12:00 NOON – One full height lift will occur during this hour. Expect at least 30 minute delay.
